Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Ragdoll?

Ragdolls are a type of large cat first bred by Ann Baker in California in the 1960s. They are known for their large, vivid blue eyes and soft, silky coat.

What colors and patterns do we breed?

Currently, our Ragdolls come in the following colors: Blue, Seal, Chocolate, and Lilac. They come in the following patterns: Bicolor, Mitted, Colorpoint, and Lynx.

Colorpoint: Body is lighter than the point color, solid to the roots with no white patches.

Lynx: Striping on their body; can be mitted, bicolor, or colorpoint.

Mitted: Well-defined points except on the feet, which have white mittens. White legs up to mid-thigh, and a white blaze on the nose is acceptable.

Bicolor: Inverted V on the face; body should be lighter than the point color but may darken with age.

What is the waitlist and how to join?

To join the waitlist for a Fojo Ragdolls kitten, contact us through the "Contact Us" page. Fill out the form with your name, phone number, email address, and the color/pattern you’re interested in. A $500 deposit is required, applied towards the final balance. The wait time depends on the color/pattern and our breeding plan.

How can we prepare for the new family member?

If this is your first cat, please let us know. We can provide detailed information to help you prepare for your new buddy.

What’s your price range?

Starting at $2,500.

What’s included in the price?

All our kittens come with TICA registration, microchip, deworming, vaccinations, a health guarantee, and a new kitten care package.

Do you offer any discount?

Yes, we offer a $200 discount when you adopt a second Ragdoll kitten from Fojo Ragdolls. We also have a $100 Referral program. We also offer a $100 discount to veterans, teachers and first responders.

Are Ragdolls hypoallergenic?

Ragdolls are better for people with allergies than most cats. They shed less due to their long, silky hair. Regular combing helps prevent shedding.

Why from a breeder?

Breeding ensures healthy, well-socialized kittens. We provide comprehensive care, health checks, and vaccinations.

Can we visit your cattery?

Unfortunately we do not offer visits to our cattery to ensure our cats safety and health and to avoid any cross-contamination. We will provide any videos and pictures if needed! Thank you for understanding.

What kind of litter do I buy?

We use Dr. Elsey’s Cat Attract and Dr. Elsey’s Original litter.

What kind of food do I buy?

We recommend high-quality dry and wet food. Specific brands and types can be discussed upon adoption.

What’s the best way to contact you?

The best way to contact us is through our form above. Helpful information includes name, phone number, email address, the color/pattern or specific kitten you are interested in. We will reply as soon as possible.

Do we transport cats?

Yes! We offer carrier services both nationally and internationally. Contact us for more details regarding out-of-state transportation.

Do we early spay and neuter?

For the optimal health of your pet, we recommend spaying or neutering once the kitten reaches maturity, typically around 6-9 months of age, as advised by our veterinarian. We do require that all kittens be spayed or neutered unless otherwise specified. To ensure the highest standards, we partner with Spay Secure to guarantee proper practices.
